Memorandum of collaboration with Kobuleti community college “New wave” (“Akhali Talga”)

On November 11-15, 2014, association “Georgia for Friends” and Tourism company “Golden Travel Georgia’’ visited Kobuleti community college “New wave”, by the invitation of Mr. Davit Mchedlishvili, director of the college.The purpose of the visit was development of tourism education not only in college “New Wave”, but in whole region of Adjara. Parties agreed on the action plan, which implies the followings:

·Association “Georgia for Friends” will ensure the increase of quality of education in the college “New Wave” by contemporary methods of teaching, seminars and master classes. ·Tourism company “Golden Travel Georgia’’ will be the main supporter for the practical trainings for students.

During the visit, master classes were held by the experts of tourism education – Tamar Basilashvili and Irakli Ephremidze for students in the direction of tour guide and tour operator. In the direction of tour operator seminars were held also by the director of educational department of association “Georgia for Friends” – Tsitsi Jangidze and by the head of public relations department of association –Khatia Khardzeishvili. In the direction of PR technologies a very interesting seminar was held by Revaz Bitskinashvili.

at the end of the visit, memorandum of collaboration was signed by the president of association – Tamar Basilashvili, head of tourism department – Irakli Ephremidze and director of community college “New Wave” – Davit Mchedlishvili. Memorandum is already in force and the implementation of the project will start in near future. Association “Georgia for Friends” plans to ensure international practice opportunities for the students in the direction of tour guide and tour operator.
